Dry-Packs Indicating Silica Gel 40 Grams in Sturdy Aluminum Dehumidifying Canister - No Cobalt Chloride II - DP40CAN

It's working great inside a small fireproof safe
I reluctantly bought this because I noticed a lot of reviews said the device required reactivating too often. I've been using the device for 2 months and I haven't had to activate it yet. And it's obviously doing its job inside the safe because I have no more bad odors from moisture. Also, I can see the silica changing slowly getting bluer each time I open the safe. I wonder if some of the reviewers are using too large of an area for the size of the canister? It's a small device, so it's probably too small for a gun safe unless it's only the size of a few pistols.

Otherwise, the device works as advertised. I would buy it again.

This Product Saved Our Stuff!
Several of our electronics were destroyed by moisture damage in one of our recent moves (from Texas to Florida). When we found out we were moving to Hawaii, I stocked up on these canisters and packed them with all of our electronics as well as with my husband's uniforms. Everything arrived in perfect condition after traveling across the country on a tractor trailer and across the ocean on a freighter. The canisters showed signs of green, which meant that they had done their job! I have reactivated them and use them for a variety of things around the house and will most definitely use them for our next move! A small investment has saved us a lot of money and aggravation!

LOVE These - I keep buying them!
I love these things. I have ammo cans, gun cases, and a few small safes - all with one of these inside. In my safes, paperwork would always get damp until I started keeping one of these in there. When the gel inside turns dark, just put it in a low-temp oven for a couple hours and you're all set to go absorb some more moisture!
