SoleusAir 35" Tower Fan with Remote control, # FC3-35R-12

Very nice, much better than expected
Got this Soleus fan from a local store (Fry's). I put 4 tower fans side by side, turned them on, and it seemed the best of that bunch. One of them was a Vornado, I don't remember the others, but they were not Lasko (which I was originally looking for). What I like about this fan is that it's very stable, and it's tilted to point upwards, so even if you have it close to you while standing up, the air reaches high enough.

I also like the fact that it's not the entire fan body that's oscillating, but just the center component, so unlike other fans, I feel comfortable lifting and repositioning this fan even while the oscillation is on.

It's not the quietest fan, but not bothersome either. It's a smooth sound, no clicks or rattles. The styling is rather bland compared to some other fans, but overall I'm happy with it because it works well and you can feel the air from across the room. It can even blow papers off my desk.

UPDATE: I recently got a...

Amazing fan!
I got this fan after carefully looking through tons of reviews for tower fans, and I am so glad I did. It is perfect. It is the perfect height, powerful but insanely quiet, sturdy, beautiful, covers the whole room. I have used about four different kinds of tower fans in the last month, and this one takes the cake. When I can afford to I will order 2 or 3 more. Seriously, I am 9 months pregnant in a heat wave, take my word for this.

One Hell Of A Fan - No Other Way To Discribe It
I use the FC3 primarily in my living room which it very easily cools. In Tx, even this time of the year that says a lot. If I am siting in the living room I can cut the air conditioner off completely. Once it is after 6 PM I can lower the setting on the FC3 to medium and cut off the oscillator function. This little guy puts off a lot of air flow !
I normally keep it approx. 8-10 feet in front or to one side of me. It is small enough to set anywhere and light weight enough to move around from room to room if need be.
It does slightly lean back so you do get more upward air flow than many fans. The osolating takes place inside the unit so the body does not move back and forth.
I am not sure the sq.ft. of my living room but it is a fair sized room with to big windows facing south. It does handle that room easily.
It is a quite fan and even on the high setting it is not noticable with the TV on and barely so with it off and certanly not enough to bother me when...
