KitchenAid Mixer Pour Shield
This product will be great when pouring liquid batter. Gave one to my daughter and she loves it, and will be anxious to use mine.
Good Item
Reading other reviews gave me some uncertainty, some were fairly positive, some were firmly negative - but I elected to buy the pour shield anyway. The shield could fit my 5.0 quart bowl better; the fit is rather loose. On the other hand, the looseness makes the shield easy to put on the bowl and to remove. So, maybe the loose fit is a wash, maybe even a positive. The pour shield is made from thin plastic, and that worries me that it might break at some future time; I'd like it better if the plastic were thicker, or more flexible.
Still, the pour shield works. Only minimal spilling as I add dry ingredients while the mixer runs, and that seems to mostly be operator error. Nothing like the clouds of flour drifting across the counter top like a Wyoming snow storm as was my past experience. And, the spout makes getting ingredients into the bowl far easier.
It works. What more can one ask.

I use my KitchenAid practically every day. This shield has saved me from making a complete mess in my kitchen. I wish I had gotten it sooner.
