Incredible and HANDY gadget..So pleased with my purchase
I am a mobile podiatrist and needed something fast and easy to pick up clippings that often get on the floor. I didn't want something I had to plug in, and needed something light and small. You just rub this along the carpet or floor from side to side and that's it! It picked up every clipping in 2 passes and it glides over the carpet effortlessly. So pleased that I was showing the girls in the clinic as it is rare that you find things like this that actually work. I haven't attempted this on a shag carpet of course, and I haven't used it but once so cannot attest to longevity but so far so good. By the way..the clippings go right into the container.
Generic version of a much better product. This cheapie works, but has some drawbacks
There is a much better version of this product, with real camel hair bristles, & works much better. I think it was on an infomercial about 10 years ago, like 2 for $9.99. I saw them all around town, at Pep Boys, Advanced Auto, etc. It was also heavier duty. I own one, and it works great, but I haven't seen them in a long time.
I saw this cheapie at my local dollar store, so decided to get it for our 2nd vehicle. The main problem with this cheapie is the thin nylon bristles. They encourage static cling - so the debris sticks to the bristles instead of going into the reservoir.
When the bristles get full, it just spits debris back onto the floor. The nicer model works 100% better - it has thicker bristles that just whisk the debris into the reservoir.
So the cheapie works just fine for heavier things (pine needles, small screws/nuts/bolts, small rocks, paperclips, etc), but is horrible for things that get stuck in the bristles (small dirt/debris, leaves,...
Works good.
Item was clear, not as pictured. Works pretty good, but needs to be emptied often or it spits stuff back out.
