It worked ... but I shoudln't have had to buy the entire assembly
The part worked fine and the you tube video on how to install was perfect ... except ... I only had a broken detergent dispenser door, and I ended up having to purchase an entire assembly, replacing 95% of which was already in working order. I understand this generates revenue, but when will our manufacturers learn that we are using precious resources to create unnecessary material -- and that recycling and reusing, while good, are not better than manufacturing unnecessary materials in the first place.
Whirlpool 8558129 Dispenser Assembly for Dish Washer
I had to take the new and old dispenser apart and swap out the solenoid, as the electrical connections was on both solenoids were different.
Put it all back together and it works just fine, but would of liked to have used the new solenoid. I did save the new solenoid, just in case the old one goes bad and will splice the wires to make it work.
I should not of had to change out the solenoid, it should of been a like for like replacement.
Perfect fit
The dispenser arrived in good shape, fit perfectly, and has functioned flawlessly thus far. Additionally, it was a good price and shipped quickly.
